May 13, 2011 Members of the City of Poughkeepsie PBA attended the Town of Poughkeepsie's Memorial Service to honor fallen members.

May 6, 2011 Members of the City of Poughkeepsie PBA attended the fifth annual Stanford Connecticut Police Memorial Parade. The parade was followed by a ceremony honoring fallen officers. Detective John Falcone was honored along with fallen Officers from Connecticut and New Jersey. The City of Poughkeepsie PBA would like to thank Chief Nivakoff and the members of the Stamford Police Department for a heartfelt memorial.
April 23, 2011 The NY Mets treated the family of Detective John Falcone to a special day at Citi Field. The family was treated to a tour of the field and a meet and greet with the players. Detective Falcone was a lifelong NY Mets fan.
April 16, 2011 Members marched in the Town of Poughkeepsie Babe Ruth/Cal Ripkin Baseball parade which dedicated its season to the Memory of Detective Falcone. Detective Michael D'Amicantonio threw out the ceremonial first pitch, he was joined by other members from the City, the Town and the Sherriff's Office. April 7, 2011 PO Michael Barbagallo was honored at the 16th Annual Linda Bodley Salute to Dutchess County Heroes which was held at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel in the City of Poughkeepsie. PO Barbagallo was awarded for the category of Heroic Act. PO Barbagallo received this award for an incident which occurred on December 31, 2011 when he along with other officers responded to a report of a distraught barricaded female with a handgun. The female was threatening to harm herself and any others should any intervention attempts be made. As one of the first responders, PO Barbagallo entered a dialogue with the woman. After a tense hour of communication between PO Barbagallo and the woman and with the tactical team at the ready, PO Barbagallo was successful in calming the distraught woman down enough to where she relinquished the weapon and exited the apartment without incident. PO Barbagallo's calm and caring response to this potentially volatile situation resulted in a successful outcome without any injuries to civilians of Officers.
March 20, 2011 Members marched with the Westchester County Emerald Society in Pearl River.
March 18, 2011 Members of the City of Poughkeepsie PBA were joined by members of the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department, the New York State Police, and the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office at a ceremony to thank the staff of Vassar Brother's Hospital for the care they gave to Detective John Falcone. Following the ceremony Officers walked throughout the hospital and handed out over 700 long stem roses to employees.
March 14, 2011 In a ceremony at the City of Poughkeepsie Police Memorial, U.S. Representative Maurice Hinchey, D-Hurley, presented the Police Department with a flag that flew over the U.S. Capitol in honor of Detective John Falcone. Following the ceremony the flag was flown over the City of Poughkeepsie Police Memorial for one week.
March 5, 2011 Members marched in the Dutchess County St. Patrick's Day Parade, which honored Detective Falcone.
